A new Red Beat single, Zachary Jones is available exclusively on this website from 23rd December 2020, just in time for the festivities. It's a hard hitting reggae song which features spoken word and guitar from Cheez McKenzie who played with Red Beat back in the 80's. His daughter Josie is also singing backing vocals along with Martine Branford. As well as lead vocals and production from Red Beat's founder Roy Jones, the track features real brass from Jason Osbourne on trumpet and Dom Norcross on tenor and baritone sax. Andy Jacques and Red Beat founder, Paul Jones also feature on the video on bass and drums. The song is dedicated to the memory of Rastafarian producer, Raymond Harvey who passed away recently. Raymond was associated with the band in the 80's during their Red White and Phoenix phase and together with manager, Jim Aitchroth supported the band to record and perform live.
