OK this is a post for technoheads! I use NI Massive for all my synth sounds and Logic Pro for my audio and midi. Came accross a great video today about how to beef up bass sounds by bassically adding sub bass using a eq-ed version of the same sound (with the treble cut and real bass boosted then adding another layer of high end synth, still using a modified version of the basic sound just tweaking a few parameters in massive and then re-eq-ing to boost the important hi end you're adding. the midi and pitch bend parameters remain the same so the effect is of one powerfull bass but with a rich bass end and a colourful top.
