Electronic dance, dub, drum and bass remix of an original 80's indie classic by Red Beat.

I originally wrote and recorded this song in 1979 for indie label, Malicious Damage Records, Killing Joke's London based label. It was single of the week in influential British music paper, Melody Maker and went on to sell all 3,000 12" vinyl singles produced (which are now worth loads on ebay!). Red Beat recorded the song at Soho's Gooseberry studios with legendary sound engineer, Mark Lusardi. The heavy dub reggae influence Mark brought to the original record, has been emphasized in this 2013 remix. Sound bites and some vocals have been used but the guitars have been replaced using a vintage Telecaster. At 170 bpm it seemed inevitable that the mix would end as a drum and bass tune. It was an adventurous exploration at the time and this remix, while boosting the song's power with new digital techniques, sounds and mastering, retains the explorative spirit by bringing contemporary Dubstep and Moombahton techniques into the mix.
